Julian combines an old-school appreciation with genre-breaking ideas, to deliver soulful vocals, yearning lyrics, and raw guitar. As a Colorado native, Julian's been living on the east coast for the last six years refining his live show and his music. He and his trio have been
tearing up the scene in the New York City and Boston areas, but at the Thin Man you'll get the rare experience of Julian in a solo setting- just his voice and his guitar.

A classically trained vocalist transferring her aptitude for opera and art song to the world of jazz, Ayo brings new life and interpretation to jazz standards heard many times over. She has aimed to be a musician with more substance, more ability, and more originality than the typical Top 40 radio favorites. She's an artist who has something to say, and with a heritage rooted in West Africa and recent travels that reach Japan, Germany, England, and France, she's been tweaking her style; mixing a love for the complexity and depth of jazz and soul with the honesty and familiarity of folk and roots music, working to find the place where these worlds meet. It seems that Colorado has been just the place to do it, as she has spent the last year writing and playing as much as she can. Joined by special guest Adam Tressler on acoustic guitar, Ayo will present an intimate night of her music in a stripped down, organic setting.
